I still don't understand why people hold-on to bad bosses/ toxic workplaces. Who said you can not get a better job? who said you do not deserve better?

With over a decade work experience across industries, I have had the privilege of working with different kinds of bosses, good/bad, wicked/kind, proud/humble and all sort. I can tell you for free that most one-man businesses (sole proprietorship) are unstructured and they leave you with a bad taste. Leaving each of those bad bosses felt like surviving an abusive marriage.

They do not keep to terms, always shifting the goal post and expecting you to adjust without complain. They will dump all their emotions on you like you don't have your own issues. They intimidate will you, cripple your entire psyche completely messing up your emotions.

Some of them would have you believe that you are stupid and senseless. Some of them pitch their staff against each-other creating a toxic work environment. Some abuse their staff verbally even as far as physical assault. They just don't care if you survive their bile or not, after-all they pay you (peanuts) so, they feel like they own you. How dare you even have an opinion? Oh well...A good number of them are just terrible!

A workplace should be home away from home especially because you spend quality time at work otherwise how do you enjoy doing what you do . Happiness is possible at home, work and everywhere but it's up to you.

Nobody is indispensable. Let that toxic job go!
